About ULTRA520K CANADA

  • ULTRA520K CANADA is a 3-day ultra-distance, stage triathlon that takes place in the South Okanagan and Similkameen Valley annually over the August Long Weekend
    .
  • The event is, first and foremost, an individual endurance challenge, where the spirit of camaraderie and goodwill are to be fostered whenever possible, and every athlete is recognized. It is not about how you finish relative to others in the event, but rather that you do your best while participating with fairness, honor and respect for all.
    .
  • The First race was held in 1993.
    .
  • Distances and disciplines consist of: Day 1 – 10.0K Swim & 149.8K Bike; Day 2 – 275.8K Bike; Day 3 – 84.4K Run.
Each day has a 12-hour cut off.
    .
  • Each athlete travels with a crew consisting of 1 vehicle and 2 to 4 crew members who are responsible for the support and welfare of the athlete.
    .
  • The applicant must have finished at least a full iron distance event at some time in the previous 3 years to the ULTRA520K Event being applied for; and the finishing time for the qualifying race should be under 14 hours and 30 minutes.
    .
  • This is an Invitation Only event. Organizers will select and invite a maximum of 45 (forty-five) athletes from the applications received (don’t delay) and if otherwise qualified. Due to what has become an overwhelming interest in ULTRA520K CANADA, we have opened the Application Process to include 2 years in advance.
